IN THE YARDS PT28
Passing train MPC-91, seen two weeks ago, left some cars in Hillsdale...
A string of boxcars, loaded with scrap paper for recycling, awaits forwarding to the paper mill.
The big ex-Golden West Service boxcar is also in the yard, awaiting delivery to Johnson Foods.
Two carloads of lumber sit on the opposite end of Hillsdale Yard, for delivery to Smitty Lumber.
On another day, caboose 4312 shows off its wheel splatters on the end of the carbody. Now you know why modern cabooses have splash guards on the end platforms!
A tank car also shows the wheel splatter on the end -very noticeable on the white carbody!
