TOWN LIFE PT33

On a warm spring day, a rare Plymouth Hemi Barracuda convertible sits with the top down outside World Travel Service. Across the street is another muscle car; a Trans Am with the T-tops removed.
Also on County Lane, a school bus is parked outside the Hickory Pit BAR-B-Q, as Barbara drives by in her BMW -also with the top down. The bus driver is enjoying lunch -but not any beer!
The traffic cones are for the protection of the city crew working on the traffic signal. There should be a cop helping to direct traffic through the intersection!
One of Hillsdale Bus Lines' newest buses rolls into town. In addition to tours, the company also has a long tradition of transporting people from Hillsdale to Pittsburgh, Cumberland and Philadelphia, helping them get to jobs, shopping and sporting events. When the Penguins won the Stanley Cup last year, HBL sent three packed buses to Pittsburgh for the celebrations!
Work has started on the building next to THE MAD HATTER. The ceramic block front has been painted, and the new carpeting is being installed. Tom Franks, of Tom & Russel Contractors, gets ready to go set up for the crew to start on the electrical work. Then the equipment will be installed and set up. Permits and licenses will be the next hurdle. Then, after a final inspection, Taquib Azzaria's dream of restaurant ownership will finally come true!
